Members shall conduct their business in a professional manner, ensuring that all personnel is knowledgeable in the areas of trust deed services in which they participate and act in compliance with sound industry practices.
Members shall act in conformity with the Association’s Bylaws, applicable laws, and regulations and shall cooperate in every appropriate way with all governmental bodies.
Members shall act in a manner that recognizes that integrity and confidence are essential to the trust deed business and strive to protect the public against fraud, misrepresentation, and unethical practices.
Members shall preserve the integrity and confidentiality of the files in possession.
Members shall accord oral agreements the same sanctity given to written agreements.
Members shall not breach or avoid an agreement or commitment
Members shall encourage healthy competition in the trust deed services industry.
Members shall cooperate with the ethics committee in furnishing information relative to an investigation of a possible violation of the code of ethics and abide by rulings passed down by the committee.
